AI Management
You have full control over AI features in QuarkXPress. You can easily turn off all the AI functions or manage each feature individually in your preferences. These settings can be toggled on and off anytime, allowing you to personalize your workspace.
AI and Data Privacy
Our AI services operate with complete respect for your data privacy. It has no access to the content or information contained in your projects, and only processes the content you explicitly submit. All information you choose to share to Quarky AI Assistant is stored securely and used solely to deliver the requested outcomes and is not repurposed or used to train AI models. Yes, you can fully disable AI features by going to your Preferences. You also have the option to enable or disable individual AI features, giving you full control over how AI is used in your workspace.
According to our EULA, each eligible annual subscription user and perpetual user with an active Maintenance and Support Plan receives 7,200 AI pages for Quarky AI Assistant and 5,000 Font Pairing instances per year.
Unused AI Pages and Font Pairing instances will not carry over to the next year.
When you renew your subscription or extend your perpetual license with Maintenance and Support Plan, your AI Pages allowance will reset to 7,200 and Font Pairing instances will reset to 5,000.
AI pages are a simple way of tracking your Quarky AI usage. Quarky uses tokens to perform tasks and one token equals about four characters (0.75 words). An AI page is roughly 350 words, which is equal to 467 tokens. The pages are consumed for both input and output during AI tasks.
AI Pages are used for tasks like generating, rephrasing, or translating text. For example, 7,200 AI pages allow processing approximately 2.5 million words annually.
Font Pairing instances allow pairing up to 5,000 unique fonts per year. Cached results ensure efficiency, so repeating the pairing on the same font doesn’t consume additional instances.
AI Font Pairing Instances are separate from Quarky AI pages, with an allowance limit of 5,000 pairings per year per user. Once you run the AI Font Pairing on a specific font, it won’t consume the additional instances again on that same font, thanks to our caching system. This optimizes both AI consumption and performance.
If you use all 7,200 AI pages and 5,000 Font Pairing instances before your subscription or pereptual license with Maintenance and Support Plan renewal date and need more, contact the QuarkXPress sales team to purchase more.
Yes, AI pages and Font Pairing instances are shared between all users within the same license. Each license has a pool of AI pages and Font Pairing instances equal to the amount of user accounts within the license.
For example, 5 users within the same license will each receive 7,200 AI pages per year, and so the team will have a shared total of 36,000 AI pages, and any user(s) can consume these AI pages.
Yes, but the number of AI pages is limited. During a free trial, you get 150 AI pages and 200 Font Pairing instances to explore our new AI features.
Yes, AI pages are used each time you submit content to Quarky for processing. AI pages are consumed for both the data you input and the results Quarky provides. For example, if you provide Quarky with the equivalent of half a page to rephrase and receive half a page back, 1 AI page will be deducted from your allowance.
If you are eligible, simply update to the latest version of QuarkXPress. Once installed, AI features will be automatically available through the QuarkXPress interface – no separate activation is needed.
Yes, if you have a perpetual license, you will first need an active Maintenance and Support Plan, and then you must the latest version of QuarkXPress 2026 to access the features. If you have a subscription license, you just need to update to the latest version to access all AI features.
Older versions, from v21.0.3 and all previous ones, do not include AI functionality for perpetual customers.
If your Maintenance and Support Plan expires, you will lose access to AI features even though you still own your QuarkXPress perpetual license. To continue using AI features, you must renew your Maintenance and Support Plan.
No. If you have an active Maintenance and Support Plan, AI allowance (7,200 AI pages and 5,000 Font Pairing instances annually) is included at no additional cost.
No, AI features require an active internet connection to work.
