Smart Content Designer User Guide

Introduction

Smart Content Designer is a suite of extensions for QuarkXPress that allows you to create, import, and modify publishing templates for your Smart Content schema (content models available on your Quark Publishing Platform NextGen server) from within QuarkXPress. 

This user guide covers the end-to-end process to create, import, modify, preview, and debug publishing templates using the example of a simple 2-page research report as the intended output. The guide explains all the tasks and features involved in the process across the two applications used in the process - Quark Publishing Platform NextGen and QuarkXPress.
