DOCX Converter Tool – Bug Fixes & Performance Enhancements

We are excited to announce the release of an updated version of the DOCX Converter tool. This release primarily focuses on addressing reported bugs from the previous version and introducing significant performance improvements.

List of fixed issues

  • Resolved skipping of two or more images in the same paragraph: In the previous release, a bug was reported where two or more images in the same paragraph were skipped during conversion. This issue has been thoroughly addressed in the new version, ensuring the proper conversion of all images within a paragraph.

  • Resolved empty tbody elements in tables: Users reported instances of empty tbody elements in tables. We have successfully resolved this issue, ensuring the accurate conversion and presentation of table data.

This issue has been fixed to ensure consistent and accurate conversion of DOCX files with additional metadata.

  • Fixed bodydiv element causing schema error: The new version resolves the issue where the bodydiv element was coming out of the section body, resulting in a schema error. This significant fix ensures seamless and error-free document conversion.

  1. "Entity" object details will be shown accurately

We have successfully resolved an issue in the QPP-NG platform that affected the accuracy of “entity” object details for non-latest versions of assets within the Version History blade. With the implementation of this fix, the “entity” object for non-latest versions in the Version History now accurately contains the details specific to the selected non-latest version. This improvement aims to provide you with a more precise and comprehensive understanding of non-latest versions, promoting informed decision-making and asset management.

  2. Stabilized row height in document previews

We are pleased to announce the successful resolution of an issue in the Quark Publishing Platform – NextGen, where the row height in previews of documents was inaccurately increasing despite being displayed correctly on the canvas during table editing. With the implementation of this fix, the row height in document previews will now align with the expected display, maintaining consistency with the appearance in the canvas of the Smart document.

  3. Version information will be displayed

Previously, there was an issue where the version information for documents created in the workspace before September 2023 was not displayed. With the recent fix, you can now confidently access the version information for all documents, regardless of their creation date. This enhancement ensures that the Quark Publishing Platform - NextGen will consistently display the version information, providing users with a comprehensive view of document history and evolution.
