JSON Attributes for Advanced Metadata & Integration Workflows

The February 2026 release introduces native support for JSON attributes in QPP, giving teams a powerful and flexible way to model complex, structured metadata within the platform.

JSON attributes make it easy to store this nested regulatory metadata in a single flexible field while keeping it fully searchable, auditable and version controlled. This allows organizations to adapt quickly to changing requirements without redesigning content models.

Search Across Versions for Select Content Types

QPP now enables search across versions for selective content types, giving organizations precise control over how different document types are discovered and retrieved.

This enables administrators to deliver a faster, more targeted search experience when historical results aren’t needed, as well as a broader, comprehensive experience when historical information is essential to the content lifecycle.

Bulk Component Check-In to Accelerate Editing Workflows

This release introduces Bulk Component Check-In to QPP’s Web-based structured authoring tool. It allows authors to check in all edited components in a document in one seamless action, rather than individually.

So instead of a repetitive, component-by-component process, teams can choose to check in all edited components across the entire document at once, speeding up the submission workflow, while maintaining consistency and control.

Smarter Locale-Aware Date Formatting

In the January 2026 release, QPP automatically adjusts the date formats based on each user’s locale with Local-Aware Defaults, providing a familiar, intuitive experience for global teams.

If a unified standardization is required, Centralized Date Format Control enables a single date configuration to be applied across the entire platform. This ensures consistency and accuracy, providing guardrails and governance for global auditing.

Try It Out! Enhanced API Documentation

Enhanced API documentation, combined with the new Try It Out testing functionality in the January 2026 release make it easier for developers to explore, validate and integrate QPP APIs.

With interactive, easy-to-navigate documentation, developers can quickly understand API behavior, explore request and response schemas, and run API calls directly within documentation. This speeds up integrations with third party systems and supports industry specific use cases.

Manage Component Workflows at Scale with Batch Component Operations

The November release introduces Batch Component Operations, a major enhancement that lets teams perform workflow actions across multiple content components in one step.

From bulk status changes and assignment updates to rapid component checkout, this feature eliminates repetitive manual tasks and helps teams manage large, componentized documents more efficiently.

Content teams can now filter, select, and update components using intuitive controls that enforce workflow rules and user permissions, improving accuracy, governance, and productivity across complex workflows.

Accelerate Content Reuse with Automated Component Creation (Auto Componentization)

The new Auto Componentization feature automatically bursts marked inline sections into reusable content components whenever a document is saved, dramatically reducing manual steps, ensuring stronger governance, and supporting large-scale content reuse.

Content Architects can configure defaults for workflows and collections, ensuring every newly generated component aligns with enterprise standards. Authors receive real-time visual feedback as components are created behind the scenes – providing a seamless authoring experience with zero disruption.

Enhance Collaboration with Threaded Comment Replies in the Microsoft Word Structured Authoring Tool

The November 2025 release enhances collaboration in the Microsoft Word structured authoring tool Quark XML Author (QXA) with the introduction of threaded comment replies.

Authors and reviewers can now reply directly to existing comments, enabling clearer, contextual discussions within the document and reducing ambiguity during review cycles.

This improvement strengthens communication, streamlines feedback loops, and helps teams resolve queries faster – improving content accuracy and accelerating delivery timelines.

See It Before You Publish! New Preview & Publishing Configuration Driven by Business Rules

QPP now introduces an enhanced Preview & Publishing configuration capability that allows content writers to visualize and publish content based on defined business rules. These rules determine which component versions are included in the preview or final published output, ensuring your teams can easily verify structure, layout, and content flow before release.

With this feature, authors can preview or publish documents using approved or publishing-ready component versions – reducing errors, improving compliance, and streamlining collaboration across departments. It’s perfect for content types such as credit reports and benefit guides in financial services where accuracy and governance are key.

Smarter Content Reuse and Faster Publishing Times, Driven by Business Rules

The new Content Automation Rules Pane automates content reuse and document assembly to reduce repetitive authoring, accelerate time to market, and ensure you meet global and regional compliance. Powered by metadata-based search queries, it dynamically includes relevant components based on business rules – either on-demand or during document creation – delivering greater accuracy, consistency, and efficiency.

This feature modernizes content workflows, enhances agility, and enables your teams to adapt and reuse content dynamically, aligned with an agile content strategy for faster, compliant publishing.

The new pane will benefit the management of regulated content such as legal documents, contracts, investment research reports, and fund regulatory & marketing documents.

Enriched Layout Options for Lists and Tables

The October 2025 release of QPP expands Layout Options flexibility, giving your teams greater creative and visual control over how lists and tables appear in published outputs. With Flexible List Styling, authors can configure outline styles, so each section or content type uses the most appropriate numbering or bullet formatting, enhancing clarity and consistency.

The new Excel Table Formatting Control provides flexibility in how table styles are applied. Teams can preserve formatting from linked Microsoft Excel tables or standardize them using publishing template styles. This update ensures brand-compliant, visually consistent outputs while balancing creative freedom with structured control.

Usability Enhancements for Linked Microsoft Excel Content
