Known Issues

The following issues are known in this version of Quark Publishing Platform NextGen:

Web Application

  • Quark Author incorrectly displays the cross-references of a Quark Publishing Platform NextGen Adapter for Quark XML Author document.

Adapters

Quark XML Author
  • When you do not assign the Navigation Title to a topic reference in a DITA Map, the adapter application does not allow you to perform any action on the topic reference on reopening the DITA Map.

  • When you open a Quark Author document that contains a Microsoft Office Excel table or chart, the adapter application displays the table as missing.

  • When you cut-paste any element while editing a section inline, the adapter application incorrectly changes the ID of the section, which can lead to content loss if an element within the section is referred separately to any other document.

  • The adapter application does not display the table notes, endnotes, and footnotes in the HTML preview.

  • The adapter application does not display or retain the size of images, charts, tables, and citations from the server in Quark Author documents.

  • The adapter application does not allow you to add a Smart Citation to Smart Content document.

  • The adapter application incorrectly changes the enumeration notation (numbers to roman numerals) of citations in Quark Author documents.

  • The adapter application stops working when you try to copy something from Quark Author through the clipboard.

  • The Replace from Server dialog incorrectly lists all the content types instead of the content type of the component you want to replace.

  • When you create a document based on a content model that is a second-level child node of another content model (with three levels of child nodes), the adapter application does not allow you to perform any action on the items based on the third-level child node.

  • The adapter application does not display the default title and body text as specified in the corresponding content model.

  • The adapter application incorrectly allows you to edit table notes and endnotes of a section reference inline.

  • When you try to replace a component of a new content type (other than default content types), the adapter application does not display any assets in the Asset Picker dialog.
