Quark Print Collection

Installing Quark Print Collection on Mac OS®

  1. Quit QuarkXPress® or QuarkXPress Passport® and Adobe® Acrobat® Professional.
  2. Double-click the Quark Print Collection icon. The Authenticate dialog box displays.

  3. Enter your administrator name and password in the appropriate fields, and then click OK. The Welcome dialog box displays.

  4. Click Continue. The Validation Code dialog box displays.
    • To install a fully functional copy of the software using a validation code, click Install Quark Print Collection Full Version, and then enter the validation code provided in the product packaging.
    • To install a fully functional copy of the software that expires after 30 days, click Install Quark Print Collection Evaluation Version.


  5. Click OK. The User Registration dialog box displays.
  6. Enter your user registration information.


  7. Click Next. The License Agreement screen of the Quark Print Collection dialog box displays.
  8. Read the license agreement carefully, and then click Continue.
  9. If you accept the terms of the agreement, click Agree. If you do not accept the terms, click Disagree.
    NOTE You must accept the terms of the license agreement to continue.


  10. The Installation Type screen displays. Chose one of the following options from the drop-down menu:
    • Choose Complete Install to install all of the program files. This option requires the most disk space.
    • Choose Custom Install to install only the items you select. Click the disclosure triangles to view individual installable items. Click an item's icon to see a description of the item. All items are checked by default; uncheck any items you do not want to install.


  11. Click Install. A progress bar indicates the progress of the installation.
    NOTE If you are running multiple copies of QuarkXPress, QuarkXPress Passport, or Adobe Acrobat, select the application you are installing the Quark Print Collection for, then click OK.
  12. A dialog box displays asking if you want to register your copy of Quark Print Collection online.
    • Click Yes to register your copy of Quark Print Collection online.
    • Click No to register your copy of Quark Print Collection at a later date. NOTE Clicking Yes directs you to the Quark website to register your copy of Quark Print Collection online. After you have completed the online registration process, close the browser window to finish the installation of Quark Print Collection.


  13. Click Quit when the installer notifies you that installation is complete.


  14. Launch QuarkXPress.
  15. Select an activation option.
    • Choose Activate automatically using internet (Recommended) to activate automatically using the internet.
    • Choose Obtain Activation Code over the Internet to fill out an online form to activate Quark Print Collection. The software will generate an installation code. You can copy the installation code from Quark Print Collection and paste it into the Retrieve activation or re-activation code Web page. The installation code is used to retrieve an activation code. You can copy the action code from the Web page and paste it into the Quark Print Collection Product Action dialog box.
    • Choose Enter Activation code if you already have an activation code.
    • Choose Try Quark Print Collection to try Quark Print Collection for 30 days.
  16. Click Continue.
