QuarkXPress® Korean Edition is a complete, fully functioning version of QuarkXPress that includes additional features for publishing in Korean. QuarkXPress Korean Edition is available for both the Mac OS® and Windows® platforms. The software includes complete user documentation in Korean.
QuarkXPress Korean Edition contains features specifically designed for the Korean language. These features include:
Specify story direction as either traditional vertical columns (top to bottom starting in the upper-right corner of the page) or modern horizontal style (from left to right starting in the upper-left corner of the page).
Configure different fonts, sizes, and styles for different types of written characters.
Group horizontal characters within a vertical text line when a vertical story direction is used.
Place special emphasis or explanatory text - called Rubi - above, or to the right of characters. In horizontal text, Rubi appears above the characters it describes; while in vertical text, it appears to the right.
Menus and dialog boxes are fully localized in Korean.
Download 2-byte TrueType® and OpenType® fonts - which are not resident on your printer - to PostScript® output devices, or for PDF generation. Downloading options include bitmap, Type 42 font, and CID font.
Support for more than 4,000 extra characters on Windows and Mac OS gives you extended access to the complete Korean character range.
