QuarkXPress 7.2 resolved issues

Following is a list of issues resolved in QuarkXPress® 7.2.

• Mac OS® only: If you created a project with two layouts, chose Window > New Window, and then closed the new window, QuarkXPress sometimes unexpectedly quit. This issue has been resolved.
• If you changed the Hyphenation Zone value for the Standard H&J (Edit > H&Js > Standard > Edit) and then resized a text box, QuarkXPress sometimes unexpectedly quit. This issue has been resolved.
• QuarkXPress Passport® sometimes unexpectedly quit if you ran a spell check (Utilities > Check Spelling > Layout) on a layout containing multiple text languages if the text language of any of the text had been changed. This issue has been resolved.
• Mac OS only: If QuarkXPress 7.02 or later was launched on an Intel® Mac® where the QuarkXPress preferences files were created by QuarkXPress 7.0 or 7.01, QuarkXPress could unexpectedly quit when you shut it down. This issue has been resolved.
• Windows® only: If you chose Help > License Transfer, clicked Customer Service, Clicked Next, clicked Yes, and then clicked Cancel, QuarkXPress unexpectedly quit. This issue has been resolved.
• If you exported a PDF of a layout that included a spot color using an output setup for which the Convert Spot Inks to Process option is checked, imported the PDF into another layout, printed the layout as a PostScript® file, and distilled the PostScript file into a PDF, the spot color still existed in the final PDF. This issue has been resolved.
• Mac OS only: If negative tracking was applied to text that follows an Option/Shift+Tab character, the text could break incorrectly at the end of the line. This issue has been resolved.
• Mac OS only: Anchored items sometimes caused reflow when legacy projects were opened in QuarkXPress 7. This issue has been resolved.
• QuarkXPress sometimes stopped responding while building a list . This issue has been resolved.
• If you checked Auto Fit in the Cells tab of the Properties dialog box (Item > Modify) for a table, and then chose Table > Table Break and specified a maximum height for the rows, the rows would not resize properly to accommodate their text. This issue has been resolved.
• If you modified the height of the header row for a table that had been broken into several pieces, the header rows for all of the tables sometimes resized as well. This issue has been resolved.
• Mac OS only: On systems that used a Color LCD monitor profile, if the system language was set to a language other than English, QuarkXPress could display an alert at launch indicating that the system monitor profile could not be found. This issue has been resolved.
• The default palette set did not display at launch after installation. This issue has been resolved.
• Mac OS X only: If McAfee® Virex 7.7 was installed, visible temporary files were created when you saved a project on a Mac OS computer from another Mac OS computer. This issue has been resolved.
• If you imported an EPS file that contained an Adobe® Illustrator® gradient mesh into a QuarkXPress layout, exported the layout as a PDF file, and then sent the PDF file to a PostScript output device, the gradient mesh would look incorrect. This issue has been resolved.
• Mac OS only: If you turned on Auto Save, saved a folder on a networked server, and kept the file open while someone else opened the project from another Mac, a *.noindex file was erroneously created. This issue has been resolved.
• Windows only: You could not check the Use Reformed German 2006 box in the SpellCheck pane of the Preferences dialog box (Edit menu) by clicking on its label. This issue has been resolved.
• Mac OS only: Characters with umlauts did not display properly when used in style sheet names. This issue has been resolved.
• If you used the Style > Flip Horizontal command on a low-resolution OPI image, the high-resolution image would not be flipped on output. This issue has been resolved.
• If you placed a box that has Item runaround in front of the automatic text box, filled the automatic text box with text, selected Run Text Around All Sides for the automatic text box (Item > Modify > Text), and then tried to select text in the automatic text box, the text did not become completely highlighted. This issue has been resolved.
