QuarkXPress Server Manger comes standard with QuarkXPress Server and provides centralized control and management of multi-server environments – allowing for load balancing among multiple servers, error handing, and automated reporting. QuarkXPress Server Manager offers an unmatched level of scalability and is a key differentiator.

QuarkXPress Server Manager adds a SOAP interface to the server allowing you to program solutions in development environments such as ASP.Net (Visual Basic, Visual C#) and Java (JSP, Java RMI).

QuarkXPress Server Manager routes jobs in a multi-server environment based on one of three load balancing methods: round robin, random, and dynamic (jobs sent to the server with lightest existing load). If you have both Mac OS and Windows servers, the Manager will determine the platform that originally created the document and send it to the appropriate server so that font and reflow issues are eliminated.

The QuarkXPress Server Manager manages document caches and logs, as well as handling situations where a document fails to render. In that case, the document is retried on the server or sent to another server. Server health is monitored, and if an error is detected, a message is sent to the server administrator.
