QuarkCopyDesk’s split view allows the user to have different visual presentations of an article — WYSIWYG, Galley, or Full-screen — in the same window, or in different windows, and always with a live-update on any changes made to the content.
QuarkCopyDesk® users can write to fit because they know the exact amount of space designed in QuarkXPress® for their work. All attributes, such as style sheets, article geometry, and hyphenation and justification rules, are maintained. When text is imported back to the QuarkXPress layout, it will fit perfectly. And QuarkCopyDesk can easily exchange text with Microsoft® Word, WordPerfect®, XPress Tags, HTML, and other word-processing formats.
Features such as Notes and Redlining are perfect for facilitating communication. Use Notes to place electronic communication directly in the text. Notes travel with the article, even when you import into QuarkXPress. With Redlining, tracking changes with QuarkCopyDesk articles provides production teams with a clear record of any and all changes.
Master Components text boxes that are created automatically when you set margins, columns, and gutter. Therefore, Master Components allow you to create article geometries in QuarkCopyDesk 7, even before a QuarkXPress layout exists.
Image support
Superior image-manipulation and display capabilities make QuarkCopyDesk the natural tool of choice for every edtor and writer who needs to control both text and picture content. After you import a picture, QuarkCopyDesk offers easy-to-use controls in the context-sensitive Measurements palette that let you crop, scale, rotate, and flip pictures horizontally or vertically.
Streamline your review workflow
Output Profiles and Output Profile Groups let you expedite your review and approval process enormously by enabling you to customize your output with metadata. Create output profiles with Output Enhancements for Print, PDF, and Article XML and combine them into output profile groups — allowing to output to multiple media with one mouse-click.
