Do I need IT to install Quark Brand Manager?

No. Quark Brand Manager is a cloud-based tool so you don’t need any additional hardware or IT support to run it. You access the functionality through a Web browser. Copywriters, marketing approvers, agencies, regional marketing and even other departments can participate in the process to create, manage, review, approve and publish marketing content.

Can the sales team access marketing content through their iPads?

Using the mobile sales enablement app, any designated employee can access marketing collateral and sales resources directly using their mobile device. Users can download sales resources for offline use on their tablet and if any of the assets are updated, the user is notified when a new version is available.

What design tools and file formats does Quark Brand Manager Support?

Quark Brand Manager has advanced layout and graphics engines that support all major file formats including jpegs, PNGs, EPS, Illustrator and Photoshop to name a few. You can technically store any type of marketing asset in the Quark Brand Manager cloud to make it available globally. For the design templates that are used for the output of collateral, you can create your layouts using either QuarkXPress or Adobe InDesign. These designs are converted into Quark Brand Manager templates where any variable elements, and user access to change those elements during the workflow, are configured.

What kinds of materials can be customised through the brand management software?

Almost any item that can be printed can be a part of your Quark Brand Manager library, from product datasheets, brochures, and advertisements to direct marketing, customer welcome kits and business cards. If you can design it, Quark Brand Manager can manage and publish it.

How much training is required to get started?

We designed the system to make it fast and easy. This means that anyone who has browsed an online catalogue, ordered a product online, or filled out an online form will be able to begin using Quark Brand Manager immediately.

What assurances does the system put in place to ensure proper use of brand elements?

Quark Brand Manager keeps all of your marketing assets in resource pools. These resource pools are assigned to specific user-roles and can vary throughout the workflow. Additionally, the design templates can be configured to support different authoring-modes. As an example, the creative team within corporate marketing may have permission to make changes to colours and logos (but not legal text), regional marketing may have permission to localise specific text and graphics, and sales reps and branch offices may only have permission to customise their contact details. Whatever your branding guidelines, Quark Brand Manager is flexible enough to support and manage them in real-time in the cloud.

Can marketing groups in different countries use templates specific to their requirements?

Yes. You can set up your Account with separate sections for different geographies, teams, and requirements. For example, you may create a section for your U.S. teams that need 8.5" x 11" paper sizes and use one set of materials, and another section for your European teams that require an A4 paper size and may only use a portion of the templates your U.S. teams use.

Does Quark Brand Manager work with multi-lingual documents?

Yes, the underlying Quark Brand Manager technology supports 35+ different languages including East Asian typographic and layout features.

Is your solution turnkey or must it be integrated into existing systems?

Quark Brand Manager is turnkey, however many clients choose to integrate it with existing content management, marketing resource management and marketing automation platforms in order to ensure it’s a unified content and brand platform serving all of their marketing channels.

Is your system hosted or on-premises?

The solution is hosted using the Microsoft Azure cloud and global data centres.

Can your solution support marketing and advertising agencies?

Yes. It can be licensed by agencies to use on behalf of their clients, or more typically the client would license and manage the system and provide access to it for their various agencies around the world.

What types of files can your solution deliver to the mobile sales enablement app?

Field sales teams can access any file types the marketing team chooses to make available in the system. Typically organisations limit the types of files provided to those that are supported by the tablet or smartphone device used to access the content. For example, the Apple iPad supports rendering PDFs, Word docs, PowerPoint files, Excel spreadsheets, images, videos and Web content. In addition, you can create highly interactive app content that will also be rendered within the app.

Can you output to the web?

The solution can be integrated with existing Web content management systems (most typical approach) and is able to render HTML or XML to feed to these systems. Additionally, the solution can output App Studio Web App content to provide an app-like experience within any modern Web browser on desktop and laptop computers.

The first step in any deployment is to work with the client to understand their content and publishing requirements and ensure that the system is configured to maximise client efficiency.
