Tables and Advanced Tab Control Make Working
with Numbers Easy

QuarkPress^® makes it easy to create financial reports and other material with numeric content. You can create a table from scratch, or link to an Excel^® spreadsheet and maintain the link, so that changes to the spreadsheet are automatically reflected in the layout.

Advanced table-styling controls let you alternate shaded lines, add borders, import images, import text, apply style sheets, and more. Simple and complex tables can span one or more pages, with automatic repeating headers and footers. Stand-alone tables can distribute content evenly across and down a predefined area. And you can modify table content the same way you modify other QuarkXPress content, using item styles and style sheets for quick and easy formatting.

For less-structured text, you can align text by setting and modifying tabs — even on special characters such as decimals, commas, and any other characters you choose. For precise control, select tabbed text and use the visual indicator that displays in the Tabs pane of the Measurements palette.
