QuarkXPress 10.1 is a free update for all users of QuarkXPress 10. This version fixes some severe performance issues that were reported.

Additionally it offers several new features, including the following:

• Dynamic Guides - temporary guides that appear when you create or manipulate items on a page. They help you align items relative to other items and to the page in a layout
• Exporting layouts as images
• Books – now allowing you to create a single PDF
• Larger zoom (up to 8000%)

Users of App Studio are able to create HTML5 based animations in QuarkXPress. App Studio now also supports Japanese authoring.
