T-Systems France Sets Up a Centre of Expertise for Dynamic Publishing using Quark Solutions
PARIS - 9/4/2008 -
Quark® and T-Systems® announced today the creation of a centre of expertise for dynamic publishing using Quark solutions, including the Quark Dynamic Publishing Solution
Today, companies must anticipate their communications requirements. This means that companies must predict their need to communicate on a number of markets through different distribution channels. But how can they enhance existing manual and compartmentalised publishing processes? How can they ensure communications are professionally compiled and distributed across every channel and in every country without diluting the brand’s corporate identity or jeopardising existing publishing infrastructures?
Dynamic publishing provides a single and global solution to all of these questions and can be applied to all areas of activity.
That is why T-Systems employees are drawn from different backgrounds: developers, consultants-project leaders and functional analysts. The object is to have a better understanding of customer requirements and to deploy Quark solutions adapted to T-Systems France’s clients in markets such as industry, aeronautics, automotive, banking, and insurance.
"Our customers have growing dynamic publishing requirements. As an IT and telecom solutions provider, it was our duty to seriously consider Quark solutions for our French clients. Our key role is to integrate structured ERP, PLM, and CRM data to create a global, multi-channel and interactive communications platform," explained Hervé Sortais, Director of Systems Integration for T Systems France.
"T-Systems’s creation of a centre of expertise on Quark Dynamic Publishing Solutions is a major development in our corporate client strategy. We believe that by training experts in dynamic publishing, we will be able to come up with innovative solutions to the issues faced by the vertical markets we work with," added Gildas Duval, Commercial Director for Quark Southern Europe.
The creation of this centre of expertise highlights a convergence between Quark’s expertise and T-Systems’s desire to develop its activities amongst major corporate clients.
Stéphane Dayras, Technical Director, Quark Europe, added: "Quark’s Dynamic Publishing Solution (Quark DPS©) must be able to interface with complex corporate IT systems (ERP, CRM, BPM, PLM, EMM, ECM...) to feed their multi-channel publications. Thanks to the integration expertise of T-Systems’s engineers, we have already been able to look at major projects for common clients.
Quark’s DPS technologies comply with the main Open Source standards (Apache, Tomcat...) and open market standards (SOA, Web Services, XML...), enabling T-Systems engineers to exploit this package and integrate it into their service offering."
T-Systems provides a range of high added-value communication information technologies. Its expertise in two fields makes this Deutsche Telekom Group subsidiary a valuable business partner. Over 160,000 customers worldwide use T-Systems IT and telecom services through a single terminal. T-Systems is the only company to have a comprehensive portfolio of IT and telecom offerings and that can combine these two technologies to come up with new solutions.
T-Systems employs 56,000 employees in over twenty countries and reported revenues of 12.6 billion in 2006.
