Stuff Magazine’s New iPad Edition

PressRun’s Digital Publishing Technology Used to Create Interactive iPad Version of Best-Selling Gadget Magazine

PressRun, an industry leader in tablet publishing solutions and the company behind award-winning iPad magazines for The BBC, BMJ and Time Inc., announced today that Stuff, the world’s best-selling gadget magazine, has launched a fully interactive iPad edition using PressRun’s digital publishing technology. The new iPad® app, available for download from Apple’s App Store, provides readers with an enhanced version of the magazine’s new and exclusive content, presented on the iPad’s large, multi-touch display.

PressRun’s innovative and unique tablet-publishing solution allows magazines to produce highly interactive digital versions of their content, which visually engage and immerse their readers. Through enhanced features, like slideshows, video, audio and animation, plus functionalities such as search, swiping and zooming, magazine apps developed by PressRun provide users with robust digital experiences.

Stuff’s iPad edition was developed on the PressRun platform by a dedicated in-house team and includes exclusive videos, 360-degree product photography of its featured gadgets and zoomable picture galleries. The edition will be available on a monthly basis, coinciding with the publication of the print edition. The first issue of the iPad version includes an in-depth test of the new iPad, incorporating video, a feature on the world’s best smartphones, a compendium of hidden features and in-jokes from the history of technology and media. The issue also enables the user to swipe, scroll and tap through to external web links, creating a unique and engaging user experience.
