Quark Sponsors Defense Intelligence Agency Annual Conference
The Department of Defense Intelligence Information Systems (DoDIIS) Worldwide Conference to be Held in Denver April 1 – 4, 2012
Denver, CO - 3/28/2012 - Quark announced today that the company is sponsoring and exhibiting at DoDIIS 2012, the annual conference hosted by the Defense Intelligence Agency. DoDIIS will feature more than 2,000 participants interested in IT solutions developed specifically for government sectors. Quark will be onsite in booth #851 to showcase Quark XML AuthorTM for Microsoft Word and the Pubs-XML Accelerator, Quark’s certified off-the-shelf-solution for the U.S. intelligence community.
Quark XML Author and the Pubs-XML Accelerator are designed to help intelligence organizations meet evolving government requirements for XML-based authoring and dissemination of analytic products that are discoverable through the Library of National Intelligence and other government portals and messaging systems. The solution lets analysts author valid XML in Microsoft Word and provides built-in features to assist them in providing required information with as much ease as possible. The solution’s underlying technology also helps organizations meet on-going requirements without slowing down the intelligence mission by providing a flexible and sustainable system that minimizes disruption to both analysts and backend systems.
Quark XML Author and the Pubs-XML Accelerator:
- Support Pubs-XML v2-5
- Include 206 sourcing capability
- Operate with MS Word 2003, 2007, and 2010
- Handle output for multiple target platforms including the Library of National Intelligence (LNI) and the M3 Intelligence Network
Marie Rundquist, government contractor for the Department of Energy, Office of Intelligence and Counterintelligence, has managed implementations of Quark XML Author. She said, “We were highly satisfied with the fact that we could meet IC Directives 208 and 501 with a COTS solution that let our reports officers continue using Microsoft Word. This sped up the adoption of the solution and delivered immediate results.”
