Bruce Hudson, Digital Magazine Awards' Chairman commented: “It is clear digital magazines now cross over traditional publishing skills with all forms of interactive media combining sensational content, ingenious design, incredible photography, film and videography, superb use of sound and with many challenging the definition of what a magazine actually is. This year's winners will give a glimpse into the future of digital media.”
Gavin Drake, Quark's Vice President of Marketing said: “As a company that is focused on providing leading tools for digital design and publishing, it's fantastic to be able to support an area that is evolving so rapidly and to see the continued innovation since last year's inaugural Digital Magazine Awards. Thank you to everyone that has taken the time to make submissions and our sincere congratulations to those fortunate enough to be selected as finalists.”
Professor Sandra Kemp, London College of Communication’s Head of College said: “As the leading global higher education institution linked to the communications industries we are proud to be associated with these innovative awards. It is fitting that the early 21st Century publishing and media innovators should be recognised at an institution that has heritage going back to the beginning of design and print education in the 19th century.”
