John Grillos Joins Quark as Vice President of Strategic Partner Sales
Denver - 3/8/2011 - Quark announced today that John Grillos has joined the company as vice president of strategic partner sales. In his new role, Grillos will be responsible for building ongoing sales relationships with Quark’s strategic partners including IBM, Microsoft, and EMC, and driving sales engagement opportunities with enterprise customers in the financial services, manufacturing, government, media, and communications industries.
“John brings to Quark extensive experience creating sales opportunities across the types of vertical markets we target and with the content management system leaders with which we are partnered,” said Mark Benfer, senior vice president of sales in the Americas, Pacific, and Japan for Quark. “With his background in our business, I look forward to working with John as he identifies not only sales opportunities, but opportunities for Quark to work even more closely with our partners to improve our customers’ publishing processes.”
Grillos said, “I am excited to be a part of Quark. The dynamic publishing solutions that Quark provides are in high demand across a range of industries and the current acceleration of digital publishing requirements in enterprise organisations is going to fuel this demand further. With our partners we can improve productivity, cut costs, and help our joint customers get their information to market faster, more accurately, and across a variety of channels.”
Prior to joining Quark, Grillos held leadership positions in product marketing, business development, and strategy at IBM, EMC Documentum, and most recently at Workshare Corporation. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of California, Berkeley and will be based out of California.
