ilovedesign.com LIVE Presents 8x8 London
New Live Design Event to Inspire Designers this Summer
LONDON - 5/20/2009 - ilovedesign.com in association with Quark and Design Week magazine today announced a new live design event in London this July. Following on from the sell out David Carson event last summer, 8x8 London will feature 8 highly talented designers that have just 8 minutes each to share what inspires them, where they get their ideas from and what motivates them to create exceptional designs.
“Very much like the Website itself, the idea behind the ilovedesign.com LIVE event is to give something back to the design community from aspiring graphic design students to established professionals.” said Sarah Harwood, ilovedesign.com manager. “The event will be fast paced, packed with interesting thoughts and ideas with plenty of time for a drink and a chance to network afterwards.”
8x8 London takes place at 7:30pm on Wednesday 1st July, at Imperial College, London. Tickets are priced at £15 each with a student concession price of £10 (students should bring their student ID with them). To purchase a ticket and find out more, visit http://ilovedesign.eventbrite.com/.
Event logo design competition
In conjunction with this event, ilovedesign.com is running a logo design competition in advance to develop a unique 8x8 London logo. The winning logo design will be used on all event branding, with the winner receiving two complementary tickets to the event as well as recognition during the evening. Like the event, the competition is fast paced and closes on 27th May, so designers need to move quickly in order to participate. Visit http://www.ilovedesign.com/gallery/competitions to enter and for full terms and conditions.
